Carrie and the kids… in my yard!

So many of you know that we moved, but did you know how beautiful the yard is?  There are trees, and rocks, and grass, and lots of places to play.  In the spring my friend Carrie Peterson was ready to get pictures taken with her kids, and so we tried out the yard.  I think they are beautiful images!!!  It’s really fun to shoot in every angle, thanks Carrie for being the first!

Boys, Boys, Boys!!

I have all boys, so I feel a special bond with other moms of lego loving, soccer playing boys!!  I had a great time taking their photographs!  Stephanie’s boys are so kind, polite, and helpful.  It was a pleasure to photograph them!  It’s always a little different to me to photograph families of kids 8 and older.  I am so used to making images of families with 1 year olds and 2 year olds…  having kids that were looking at the camera without me having to sing and dance was really quite different, lol:)  and fun!!

So wonderful to spent my evening with you Lindstrom family!!  Looking forward to when we can do it again!

Thomsons… Bribery… Weeds… and… Moana!

I had the privileged of photographing the Thomson’s again this year… so fun!!  We went to Kays Creek Parkway, which is packed with photographers this time of year, but we were able to get some beautiful images and have a great time doing it!  (Well we might have gone 15 minutes too long for dad, lol:)  It was a fun filled night of pulling weeds out of the way, bribing kids with fruit snacks, more pulling weeds out of the way, bribing with graham crackers… there might have been some more pulling weeds out of the way… then a bit of a puppet show… and even some viewing of the movie Moana!  It was so worth it!  We made fun memories and beautiful images!  Can’t wait until next time!  Thanks for the fun night Thomson family!  PS next time I’ll remember scissors to help with getting the weeds out of the way!:)

Our Thorne boys are Lookin’ Sharp!

Valentine’s day was awesome for me!  I went with my buddies Bryce and Aiden, (and their mom Trina, who is my friend:) to the Ogden temple.  Bryce is turning 8 soon and getting baptized, and Aiden is turning 12!  Such wonderful accomplishments!  I’ve watch these two grow up… literally.  I moved into my house almost a year before Aiden was born.  For about the first year and a half of Aiden’s life I sat by him in church and rubbed is fuzzy head for luck… his hair was so soft!  And my boys love Bryce!  They could play with him forever.  We love their family and especially these sweet boys!!  Congratulations on your choices fellas!  We are very proud of you!

And then he was 8… and Baptized!

My sweet little Garrison was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints on Saturday.  I’m so proud of my sweet little man.  It’s great to be 8! He had a bit of a rushed start as a preemie baby, sick in the ICU, early intervention, Sped pre-school… and now he’s doing so well.  He likes to read, he’s very good at math, he loves his drama class, and he is wild about anything that moves!!  He says he’s going to the moon… which would be very cool…. however, the rest of us see him as a zoologist, and more specifically an entomologist, ’cause he sure loves those bugs!!  (It’s true he is currently carrying around his jar of caterpillars anxiously waiting for them to turn to chrysalids, lol.)

I’m so proud of this little fighter!  He’s made such a big, important decision.  I know as he continues to Choose the Right his testimony will grow and he will one day be a wonderful missionary!  Until then here’s my little Baptism boy… and some cute brothers too!

Dasek’s Do it Again!!

We succeeded in taking a Fall Portraits!!  Wahoo!!  I think my kids have gotten use to freezing smiles on their faces while I run back and forth to the camera.  This year was a bit easier then running around the park after my 3 year old like I did last year, trying to get a decent shot!:)  Now if we can just work on Alex letting us do his hair right away instead of chasing him around the house for 15 min. so we could leave on-time, pictures would be a dream!  It can be daunting, but we did it!!  I’ve already started getting my mounted prints!  Metals come today and my canvas on Thursday!  Merry early Christmas to me!!

Englands at the Botanical Gardens

About a month ago I went to the Ogden Botanical Gardens with Allison England and her son Zach and photographed his senior images. Last week I was able to take beautiful photos of their family once again at the Ogden Botanical gardens.   We had to postpone a couple of times, but it finally stopped being windy and stormy for a few days and we were able to get some wonderful images.   Until next time England family!  I had a great time, and your family is just simply delightful!  Enjoy!

Go Wasatch!!

Our Wasatch soccer team have been so fun this year, and the team has improved so much!  They are playing more like a team, passing more often and faster, each of their skills have significantly increased, and they have gained some wonderful friends!  We have a couple more trainings and the Wasatch Tournament, and then we are finished for the season!!  Great job Wasatch!!  Thanks so much to there Coach Nate Thacker, and to Kip Bremser for all your dedication and guidance and to Jamie Hadlow for all your work as the manager!!  It’s been a great team!  GO WASATCH!!

Paul, Kaydee, and the Kiddos

The other day I was able to spend some time with my younger sister Kaydee, and take some pictures of her little crew.   We played with a lot of squeaky toys and tossed the lion! We also did some singing, and had some candy… which I admit I have found very helpful with kids, and I am not above using for some smiles!  I love your beautiful family Kaydee!!  Thanks for letting me spend the evening with you!

The Bucks and the Bucklings

Last Saturday I was able to go and take portraits of my sister’s family for her birthday.  It was a lot of fun! We laughed, and jumped, played with masks, collected flowers, smiled a hundred times… and then smiled some more!:)   When I got back to edit the photos I saw that some shots were just magical.  I think they turned out just great!  Such cute smiles and such a beautiful familly!  Love you guys, I hope you love your pictures!
