Bradford’s 2022

For the first 17 years of our married life we lived in the same home in East Layton.  One of the families that we became friends with when we moved in was the Bradfords.  She became the ward choir pianist when I was the director, and is so talented we sang pieces she wrote.  My oldest was born just a months after her youngest so it was fun to have kids close in age.  Since they moved we she became my Mary Kay lady (to make sure I see her every so often,) and we even went to Garth Brooks together a couple months ago.  Such wonderful people, and so photogenic!!  We are so grateful they are our friends!

A Beautiful Night at the Park

You know when you meet people, and it’s like you’ve known them forever, and then all of the sudden what you are doing is over you realize you really just met them and you might not see them for a long time…  That’s what it was like the other day when I met Adam and Cindy Buck.  Such a great family!!  Adam used to work at the same law firm as my brother-in-law Paul Shakespeare, and got my information from Paul.  Now I’m best friends with the Bucks and all of their children!:)

It was so much fun to take their images last Friday, and now I know of another park that is really close that didn’t have a lot of people!  It was amazing for a Friday night we had the park to ourselves!

Adam and Cindy you have such a beautiful family, and such wonderful kids!  I hope that these images help to capture them now so that you might be able to remember these moments always!!

So wonderful to spend the evening with you Buck family!  I hope you love your images and that we can do it again soon!

Amanda and Trevin

What an amazing night for Amanda and Trevin! They were married in the backyard of beautiful home in east Layton overlooking all of Layton.  The weather was amazing, the bride was perfect, and the food was delicious… and fun thanks to it coming from a food truck!:)  Thank you so much Amanda and Tamika for inviting me to such a wonderful event!  I’m so glad I was able to capture it all!

In the Canyon with Adam and Kayler

So last week I had fun with a good friend of my up Big Cottonwood Canyon.  Heike Bammann and I photographed Kayler Poglajen and Adam Dimond with the beautiful backdrop of wildflowers, forest and mountains.  The night was gorgeous, our models were perfect, and we couldn’t have asked for a better landscape.  Just exquisite.  We had just enough time for beautiful backlighting, an awesome sunset, and dresses.  Lot’s of dresses!  Thank you Heike, Kayler, and Adam.  It was such a fun, wonderful, night!  I hope we do it again soon!!

Jessica and Cesar Get Married

Jessica Saari and Cesar Alvarado got married on July 17th at the Cathedral of the Madeleine.  It was such beautiful day.  Their wedding at the cathedral was gorgeous, full of love, and supported by friends and family.  There reception was really so much fun!  I took portraits at there line as there guests arrived, in the gardens of their wedding party, of the cake cutting, of the dating game, of their friends giving speeches, and lots of images of dancing, because there was lots and lots of dancing!  Jessica said during the night that she had always wanted her wedding day to be a day when everyone had a really great time.  It was Jessica!  Everyone was dancing, laughing, and celebrating Jessica and Cesar’s beautiful day! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of it!  It was really a wonderful night!

Mady and Troy get Married

Mady and Troy got married on Friday May 26th!  It was a beautiful, warm, and sunny afternoon at the Payson, Utah temple.  We spend a couple hours around the temple taking photographs, and then in the evening we got together again for a lovely reception at a church in Salt Lake City.  It was such an honor to photograph their wedding!  I’ve known the Burnam family for about 12 years, and it was so fun to be there with them on such a special day!  Congratulations Mady and Troy!  I wish you all the happiness and joy marriage can bring!  Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of such a wonderful day!

Bridals, Black-tie, and the Basin

Last Tuesday I went to Snowbasin and photographed a Black-tie session of Mady and Troy.  When we started there were so many bugs!  They were crazy!  They were attacking Mady and her dress so much I thought we’d have to cancel the session.  However, we left that spot and as the sun went down the flies stopped biting, and began to disappear thank goodness!  Our session was so much fun, and I’m grateful for all my wonderful assistants that came along to fix trains, move lights, carry gear, and give support!  Thank you ladies!  I had a great time!

Jessica and Caesar

Last week I was able to finally meet Caesar and Jessica, a very sweet couple whose wedding I will have the pleasure of Photographing in June.  We went to the Ogden Botanical gardens for a nice engagement shoot. About three hours later we left exhausted, and very excited about the beautiful images we were able to create.  Thank you so much Jessica for letting me be a part of this wonderful celebration!

Taylor and Rose

On March 3rd Taylor Robbins and Rose Johnson got married and I was able to be there to photograph the wedding!  It was held at the Eldredge Manor on a beautiful, bright, sunny day.  The ceremony was filled with love, elegance, and a bit of humor as a ring was going on the wrong finger and I tripped over a candle walking up the aisle to take pictures.  It was such a fun day to be a part of especially since I’ve known the Robbins family for quite some time.  A couple have babysat my kids, I taught Amy lessons, Heather and I have sung together in choir for years.  Taylor and Rose thank you so much for letting me help you capture such special memories of your very special day!

Caroline and Scott Get Married!

On Friday August 26th Caroline and Scott Pettit got married!  It was beautiful, and they are such wonderful people.  I am so grateful I was there to document their wedding, because, it was so much fun!  I also have to admit, I had a bit of fun editing there pictures.  They were just so pretty, I might have dressed them up a bit!  Hope you like them!  Enjoy!!
